A gritty horror remake with the basic plot of revenge and brutal justice with a nice twist of a mild mannered family, bit like ‘The Hills have Eyes’.

The infamous house in the title is the family’s lake house, isolated and peaceful until a gang of thugs descend. They chose the wrong family to mess with. Not realising they have just kidnapped, attacked, raped and shot their daughter, the parents let them shelter from the storm. Equally unaware are the gang of their latest victim’s connection. Who will find out the truth first? This lake house  is about to become a house of slaughter.

Rather low level horror wise except some shiners involving kitchen forks and waste disposal units and the final act with a microwave.

This horror takes a while building the tension before it finally turns into a free-for-all fight. Its all rather gloomy and depressing especially during the daughter’s ordeal. Not bad, now want to see the 1972 original!

Warning:  French subtitles! If you can hack the pace, this mix of romantic fantasy/comedy/drama is a pretty good watch.

Amelie is a waitress with an unlimited imagination, who would rather watch and interfere with others’ lives then make a go of her own. She becomes fascinated with another oddball who collects discarded passport photos and sets up a series of clues to intrigue him and really starts living.

Didn’t really like the character as she isn’t the nicest, though innocent and naive, she has cruel methods of social justice on behalf of her friends and acquaintances. But love the imagery and the way this movie was shot, especially when she turns to water and hits the ground. The plot drifts along when there are good things to look at!

Give this film a shot, it might surprise you.

this is one of the most boring comedy movies i have ever seen first of all it was totally classified wrong it should have been a drama they was nothing comedic about it only the fact that you laugh at the end thinking “what was i thinking to watch such CRAP!” lol a bit harsh but i definately wasted the whole sum of $3 buying this dvd thinking it would be funny.

its the story of a small town that is going bankrupt and in order to survive they need to make peace with the local indians and bribe them to build a casino on the local land where the historical museum is but the only trouble is that the guy who runs the museum is hell bent on saying NO to the development of the casino as he would be left without a job but it definately runs deeper than the fact that he would loose his job…

Who is Mandy Lane? Just the most desired girl in school. When she and a group of friends go to an isolated ranch for a fun summer weekend, you know someone else will be along for the ride.  Turns out this someone likes knives and guns and wants some alone time with Mandy.  So begins the bloody rampage!

Didn’t know what to expect but this turned into a pretty good thriller with some rather grizzly horror bits.  Some of the deaths are pretty sickening like blinding by knife and gagging with a gun.  Least it’s balanced with a slowly revealed backstory and general sense of dread of what’s to come.  Feels like it has some depth rather than your average  cardboard slasher stalker flick.

Would definitely watch again, nice twist at the end which also leaves room for a sequel.

Death by object starts this low budget 70s horror and progresses to creepy mannequins on mass terrorising their victims.

Similar in premise to films like House of Wax, ‘Tourist Trap’ follows a group of friends who happen upon an abandoned gas station and the closed ‘Slausen’s Lost Oasis’ – a Western themed museum in the back of nowhere.

Met by the ‘friendly’ owner, Slausen, the group are gradually separated and individually meet his brother, Davey. Davey likes to make mannequins and always needs human models to enhance his collection.

Tricked and trapped, who will survive the night?

Little predictable but sinister enough to keep watching. Best bit was when one of the gang realise they are really a doll! It’s a weird scene but it’s a B movie, go figure!

It’s the last flight in, it’s raining and the airport has lost Mel’s suitcase. All Mel and her friend, Jules want is a ride home.  Along comes a Airport Shuttle with a friendly driver willing to drive them for half-price. Should have got a taxi.

Shuttle is a rather unsettling thriller following two friends as one bad decision has brutal consequences for them and their fellow travellers. 

When the driver consults his map in the middle of a bad neighbourhood and pulls out a gun, we know it’s all downhill from here. What are his real intentions? Is it robbery, murder, torture or something more sinister?

More tension than gore, this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat and has a surprising depth to the plot. 

The conclusion is particularly depressing, sorry no happy endings to this one. But good thriller none the less.

OMG!
Watched this movie @ midnight 31.10.10 to kick off my halloween marathon.

This movie is great for the special effects and the gruesome deaths that happen aboard the midnight train which doesnt really happen at midnight the train routes and times are picked out around the 2-3am time slots when the last of the travellers are winding down and basically you are left with an empty train and one or two easy targets for the slaughter.

By chance, a photographer who is pushed by his girlfriend to get into his work stumbles upon a girl in trouble just about to get on the train. He comes to her rescue and saves her from a group of thugs all the while happy snapping his camera to use as evidence. She kisses him in thanks and rushed just in time to her DOOM!

From here on out its a game of Cat and Mouse and it has the photographer obsessed with the train and the mysterious guy who he snaps leaving the station. Will he do what ever it takes to get the scoop or will he be the next passanger aboard the “midnight meat train”?

-Definately worth a watch for any fans of a good blood bath and death scenes!

This movie is very slow, suspensful but slow. Starts straight away with a twisted plot and people are not who you think they are and then they are dead. The body count rises fast and by the end of the movie you are left thinking OMG really?

This movie is your typical twisted thriller that leaves you a bit grossed out with a slight twinge of laughter inside.

This movie was a surprise i was very reluctant to watch it but im glad i did. Havent watched too many zombie movies so im not quite sure what to expect. But this movie was pretty much self explanatory. I liked the style of the movie and the way that it kept everything light and not too grotesque given the title and the way that it could have been made. All in all it was made very well and i really enjoyed the bill murray cameo that was a good surprise. This film follows #$#@# across the country as he is trying to stay alive and virus free from the zombie culture that has taken over america or the world i guess. Along the way he teams up with a wayward solo zombie killer who takes immense pleasure in the sport. He has made it his way of life to be able to kill all zombies with anything and everything. They team up early on in the movie and from then on out its a bumpy ride even to the end.
Definately a good zombie movie, the gore was minimal but very effective.

One highlight was the rules of survival: i liked rule number 4.wear your seatbelt. Its a life Saver!

Just when you thought that it couldnt get any worse they team up two blondes and make a movie that leaves you thinking omg what was i thinking? why did i waste 90 mins of my time watching rubbish. i think that the movie as a whole is easy to watch you definately dont need a brain to understand anything. the characters speak for themselves. i guess if you are after a laugh then this is the movie for you.
